Kevin Jacobsen, an Emmy-Award winning journalist, joined the Northland’s NewsCenter in November 2008.

During his time with the station, Kevin has received Upper Midwest Emmy nominations for his work as a producer, reporter and his contributions to the newscasts.

Before arriving in the Northland, Kevin was a morning anchor for the CBS affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa. He also worked as a reporter and photojournalist in New York and Connecticut.

Kevin was born and raised just outside New York City to proud Danish Parents. He didn’t waste any time getting into the news business. He had press credentials before getting his driver’s license.

Kevin received a B.S. in Television News from Lyndon State College, a tiny school in a small corner of Vermont known as the Northeast Kingdom.

In his spare time, Kevin likes to keep tabs on family in Denmark, digital photography and exploring the Northland.

Kevin Jacobsen co-anchors the KBJR 6 & Range 11 News at Six and Ten.
