Kevin Jacobsen, an Emmy-Award winning journalist, is the Assistant News Director for KBJR 6 & Range 11 and KDLH 3. You can also catch him co-anchoring the 6 p.m. news with Michelle Lee every weeknight.

Since arriving at the station in 2008, Kevin has received multiple Upper Midwest Emmy nominations and Eric Sevareid awards for his work as a producer, reporter and his contributions to the newscasts.

Before arriving in the Northland, Kevin was a morning anchor for the CBS affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa. He also worked as a reporter and photojournalist at News 12 in New York and Connecticut.

Kevin received a B.S. in Television News from Lyndon State College, a tiny school in a small corner of Vermont known as the Northeast Kingdom.

Kevin was born and raised just outside New York City to proud Danish Parents. He didn’t waste any time getting into the news business. He had press credentials before getting his driver’s license.

In his spare time, Kevin likes to keep tabs on family in Denmark, digital photography and trying his best not to land his golf ball in the rough.

You can reach Kevin via Twitter, Facebook or through the old fashioned way, kjacobsen@kbjr.com .
