DULUTH, Minn. (NNCNOW.com) --- The Republican candidate running for House District 7–A picked up the endorsement of a pro–small business group.

Republican Becky Hall, who is running in hopes of succeeding Democratic State Representative Thomas Huntley, was endorsed by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fund.

The Chamber says it bases its endorsements on business issues.

Hall said she is a jobs candidate who is running on a "no new taxes" platform.

"As a mother, I don't want to see my children or your children to become economic refugees, forced to leave Minnesota looking for work elsewhere," Hall said during a press conference Wednesday. "I will work to implement a sales tax free holiday weekend to make it easier for families to buy the back to school supplies needed for their children."

Hall will face DFL challenger Jennifer Schutlz in the November election.
