Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- The Duluth News Tribune has thrown their support behind Jeff Anderson for the 8th Congressional district, in the DFL Primary Election next Tuesday, August 14.
The newspaper says, "While his nationally known opponents have been raking in cash and collecting endorsements from all over, Duluth's Jeff Anderson has been quietly and steadily - one parade and one conversation at a time - building support among thong he'd actually represent: residents and others in Minnesota's 8th Congressional District."
The News Tribune also added that Anderson's leadership skills, and ideas would advance him to the general election on November 6 to face Republican incumbent U.S. Representative Chip Cravaack.
Anderson responded on the endorsement by saying, "It is a great honor to have the endorsement of the Duluth News Tribune and the Mesabi Daily News. Once again, my endorsements in this race come from people and organizations here in the district. Our campaign and message of jobs and economic prosperity continues to grow and gain momentum. This is why I am so confident we win on August 14th and again in November."
On August 5, the Mesabi Daily News endorsed Anderson.
