Madison, Wis. – Governor Scott Walker released the following statement Tuesday following former Governor Tommy Thompson’s victory in the Wisconsin U.S. Senate primary.
"Voters in Wisconsin will have a clear choice between an extreme liberal from Madison or a proven reformer who can get us working again," said Gov. Walker.
With 92% of precincts reporting, Thompson has 34% of the vote with 185, 347 votes.
Following behind Thompson was Eric Hovde at 31% with 165, 321 votes and Mark Neumann had 123,124 votes at 23%.
Jeff Fitzgerald finished last with 12% of the vote at 65,920 votes.
