Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Governor Scott Walker wants to return extra money found in the budget to taxpayers.

The Legislative Fiscal Bureau announced Thursday the state has a surplus of nearly one billion dollars.

The Governor said the additional revenue should be returned to hardworking taxpayers.

Democrats said the money should be used to help get people back to work.

Governor Walker is expected to unveil his tax cut plan next week.
