Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Senator Bob Jauch is retiring after representing the 25th district for more than 30 years.
Senator Jauch's term ends on January fourth but today was the last day the senate will be in session this year. During his last session, Sen. Jauch worked on issues including Workforce Development, revenue, forestry and mining.
The senator says there is still a lot of work to be done in those areas. He also says Wisconsin lawmakers must be better at working together, across party lines, to make Wisconsin a better state in which to live and work.
"I have 15 months left and you will see me fight harder for those things that I believe are at risk. Fight harder to restore a democratic trust in an institution that I think is imperiled. Public servants should focus on getting results rather than getting revenge,” Sen. Jauch said on Wisconsin Public Eye.
Jauch lives in Poplar, Wisconsin with his wife Cecelia, who is a retired elementary school teacher.
