Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Minnesota Senate is expected to take a different approach than the house during a two day hearing on gun control.
Sen. Ron Latz (DFL - St. Louis Park) says the committee will focus on background checks and loopholes, not an assault weapons ban.
The Senator says the hearings will hone in on what lawmakers can accomplish in the present to make the state safer.
The hearings are expected to take place later this week.
