St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Governor Mark Dayton put pen to paper Wednesday to create a new health insurance marketplace known as "MNsure"
The Governor signed the measure into law Wednesday morning establishing a health exchange.
It will provide quality, affordable health insurance for an estimated one in five Minnesotans.
The measure passed both the House and Senate along party line votes, with no GOP lawmakers on board.
The exchange is a part of the Affordable Care Act passed by US congress in 2010.
Enrollment begins on October 1st. Coverage purchased through MNsure will begin on January 1, 2014.
