Groups Files Suit over MN Childcare Union Law

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The debate over allowing some childcare providers to unionize is headed back to court.

Opponents of the law - signed by Governor Dayton just days ago - are filing a lawsuit to challenge the measure.

The group "Childcare Freedom" claims a union would force independent business owners to join and pay dues.

Advocates argue the unions could secure higher reimbursement rates and better industry standards.
