Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A bi-partisan group of lawmakers will introduce a medical marijuana bill Thursday at the Minnesota State Capitol.

The measure, authored by Representative Carly Melin and Senator Scott Dibble, would allow Minnesotans with serious illnesses to access and use medical marijuana if OK'd by their doctors.

The lawmakers will be joined by patients and advocates to discuss the bill tomorrow.

Minnesotans for Passionate Care officials say both bills have the maximum number of sponsors allowed - 35 in the House, including 12 committee chairs, and five in the Senate, including two committee chairs.
