Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The owner of the controversial Duluth business the Last Place on Earth is now officially in the running for the country's top seat.
The Grassroots Party filed paperwork Monday to place Jim Carlson's name on the national ballot in November for the presidency.
Carlson, whose store has been the target of two police raids in the last year, received the party nomination in June. Carlson's running mate is George McMahon of Iowa.
A spokesperson for the Grassroots Party says, between the two, they feel confident they have strong ticket.
