Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - It's a hotly contested election season. On Tuesday, many races will come into clearer focus.

A number of seats in the Northland are up for grabs in the Primaries. With all the seats on the ballots, Northland leaders say voters can help shape a new political landscape.

Voters will narrow down a number of races including US House and Senate, State House and Senate and numerous city and school board races.

Amendments and referenda won't appear on the ballots until November 6th.

Polls in both Minnesota and Wisconsin are open 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. Tuesday.
