Authorities Investigate Homicide in Superior

Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) - According to witnesses on scene, a man was shot three times in the chest, before running back in to the house are 1901 N. 12th St.

Shortly after that someone yelled out from the house something had happened to "his uncle".

Police confirmed Toriano Cooper, 35, had been doing maintenance work on a vehicle outside his house when he was apparently shot.

Cooper is said to have sustained a gun shot wound to the chest.

Witnesses on scene say they saw what appeared to be a body bag being removed from the house.

Superior Police and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Superior Police Department immediately.
