Barnum, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Barnum teacher and head football coach Kevin Haley has resigned from his post at the Barnum High School.
Barnum Principal Steve Brandt confirmed that Haley sent in his resignation letter on Monday, however Brandt cannot comment on the nature of the coach's resignation.
Haley was placed on paid administrative leave back on March 7th for undisclosed reasons resulting in an investigation, however Principal Brandt could not comment on the results of that investigation.
According to the Pine Journal in Cloquet, the school board had taken action on the investigation into Haley back on March 20th during their monthly meeting to send a letter to Haley setting forth the proposed discipline and the reasoning behind the discipline. That letter was also placed in Haley’s personnel file.
