Omaha, NE (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #1-ranked UMD men's hockey team saw its 17-game unbeaten streak snapped Saturday night with a 3-1 loss to Nebraska-Omaha.
It is the Bulldogs' first loss since October 15 when they fell to in-state rival Minnesota at AMSOIL Arena, a streak strecthing nearly three months.
Duluth native Jack Connolly scored the lone goal for UMD, extending his personal scoring streak to 20 games.
UMD is now tied with Minnesota atop the Western Collegiate Hockey Association standings, and will be back home next weekend for a pair of games against Alabama-Huntsville.
