(NNCNOW.com)-- A Duluth teenager died Saturday morning following a one-vehicle crash north of Two Harbors.
According to the Lake County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened on the Drummond Grade near Stewart Lake in Lake County. The vehicle was driving south when it left the roadway along an embankment and hit several trees.
The victim, an 18-year-old woman from Duluth, was the only passenger in the vehicle. Authorities say she was not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Rescue Squad, Two Harbors Ambulance, Two Harbors Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Minnesota Conversation Officers all responded to the accident.
The accident is under investigation. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the family.
