Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The City of Duluth has lost its lawsuit with the Fond du Lac tribe over millions of dollars in casino revenue.
A decision handed down today from the federal court ends the band's 25 year agreement to share proceeds from the Fond Du Luth casino with the city.
The judge's decision also means the tribe will not have to enter into negotiations with the city for the next 25 years.
Tribal members were very excited with today's ruling. Karen Diver, Tribal Chairwoman, says "members will finally be the the primary beneficiaries of their own efforts."
