Madison, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- After the Government Accountability Board (GAB) went through152,300 petition pages, enough signatures were found to recall Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch as well as 4 Republican State Senators.
Now a judge has set dates for a primary election for May 8th and a general election on June 5th.
In order to recall Governor Walker, 540,000 signatures needed to be collected across the state, however according to United Wisconsin, the coalition that spearheaded the recall along with the Democratic Party, over a million signatures were collected.
The Accountability Board looked through each petition page for authenticity of signatures and to weed out any duplicates and was able to find enough signatures to trigger an election.
