St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Governor Mark Dayton announces that he plans to seek re-election in 2014.
"I'll seek another term. Eight years is what I think will take to really streamline the state government and make it more efficient to bring it up to the standards my family set in the past," announced Governor Dayton.
The Minnesota Governor confirmed his re-election plans on KARE 11's Sunrise show this morning during his interview with Tim McNiff.
In a recent poll from the Star Tribune, the Governor has a 52% approval rating.
"It's been a controversial year, a difficult year. So I'm very grateful to have that continuing support."
