Heavy Overnight Flooding Causes Road Closures

Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) Heavy overnight flooding causes road closures in Douglas County, and water is over the road in several areas in Solon Springs.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has set up Highway 35 detour routes.

The detour for drivers heading northbound is County Road T to Highway 53, and the detour for southbound drivers is east on County Road C to County Road E to Highway 53.

The following roads are closed in Douglas County:

-Highway 35 is closed in both directions

-Highway 35 from County Rd T to County Rd C at Greenwood Cemetery

-Milchesky Road

-County Road B at Little Balsam Creek

-County Road BB

-Firetower Lane

-Chaffey Foxboro Road

-Pioneer Trail

-County Road W

-County Road M

Water covers the following roads:

-North of Solon Springs on County Road A

-South of Dry Dock for 1 mile

-County Road B and Eastman Road

-County Road A and Tri Lakes Road - Trees Down

-County Road A from Solon Springs to Four Corners - Water over the road
