Forest Lake, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth Denfeld softball team fell 10-0 on Thursday in the Section 7AAA championship game, denying the Hunters a trip to the MSHSL Class AAA state tournament.
It will mark the fifth consecutive and 11th overall trip to state for the Rangers, with the team having finished as Class AAA runners-up a year ago.
The Hunters have only qualified once for the state softball tournament, that coming back in 1990. Duluth Denfeld ends the year with a record of (18-5).
