Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Kmart in Duluth on Mall Drive by the Miller Hill Mall is on the Sears Holding Corporation's list of Sears and Kmart stores that will be closing in the coming year.
Sears released a list of 79 stores nationwide that will close sometime in 2012.
Earlier this week, Sears announced that they would be closing 100 to 120 stores across the country after poor holiday sales.
Sears is expecting that their 2011 fourth quarter earnings will be less than half of last year's amount.
The closure of these stores is expected to generate $140 to $170 million for the department store company.
Sears does not have any information yet on how many of their employees will be affected.
