St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota House of Representatives has passed the bonding bill that will borrow $496 million for construction projects across the state including expansion of higher education, more funding for pollution control, construction of more veterans affairs facilities and much more.

Here in the Northland, over $4 million of the bonding bill will be used to fund improvements to the historic Lakeside Lab in Itasca County including the design and construction of a technology-rich biological lab and classroom facilities.

$2.5 million will go to reforestation activities across the state to meet the reforestation requirements for Minnesota.

$6 million will also go to the restoration of wetlands, rivers, streams, etc. in order to protect soil and water quality and support the aquatic wildlife.

$49 million of the bonding bill will be used on roads, bridges and other transportation projects across the state.

The bill will now move onto the Senate floor.

The House has now started their debate on the Vikings Stadium bill where they are expected to vote whether or not to fund the stadium.
