One Dead and Two Seriously Injured Due to Possible Electrocution

Cohasset, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Two people are still in the hospital and one man is dead after possibly being electrocuted by an extension cord which had fallen from a boat lift, into the water.

On Tuesday, July 24th around 4:15pm, the Itasca County Sheriff's Department, the Cohasset Fire Department and Meds 1 ambulance responded to a report of three people who had possibly been electrocuted on the Hill Top Trail.

One of the victims, 22 year old Robert Clifford Stoen from Owatonna, MN was found unresponsive in the Pokegama Lake. CPR was performed on the victim and he was transported to Grand Itasca Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Two other people, 35 year old Eric Michael Hancock and 57 year old Cheryl Marie Hancock, both from Owatonna, were taken to the hospital where they are listed in serious, but stable condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
