UPDATE: Victim Identified In Downtown Death Suspicious

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Duluth Police have identified the 62 year old man who who was found dead inside a building on the 400 Block of West Michigan Street Tuesday as Edward Everett Olson, of Duluth.

Duluth Police, Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance responded just after 6:30am when a caller said a man inside was unresponsive and had shallow breathing.

When officers arrived they found Everett deceased inside an elevator.

Duluth Police say Everett worked in a cleaning capacity inside the building and had worked the overnight shift.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday afternoon. Duluth Police Public Information Officer Jim Hansen said they still investigating Everett's death and are treating this case as a suspicious death.

Hansen said they are not actively seeking any suspects at this time, but are asking for anyone with information or that may have seen any suspicious activity to call the Duluth Police Departments violent crimes unit at (218) 730-5050.
