Shooting In Superior - Authorities Seeking Out Suspects

Superior, WI - (The Northland's News Center) - Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place in Superior, Wisconsin Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to 1627 Tower Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. where they say a 29-year-old man was shot. The victim had sustained a single gunshot wound that appears to be non-life threatening.

Police were seen on Broadway and Baxter after the shooting conducting their investigation, where police were seen taking several people into custody. Those people were not involved in the incident.

Authorities are still looking for a suspect described as a black man, 6', 6'1'', thin build wearing blue jeans and a dark blue shirt. He was armed with a handgun. It is believed that the suspect fled east across Tower Ave. along N. 17th Street after the shooting.
