Ashland, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Ashland Mayor Bill Whalen has declared a snow emergency for his city.
The mayor has declared that winter parking rules are now in effect for the city of Ashland.

No parking is allowed on any street or avenue until snow has been completely cleared.
After 6 a.m., during the day, odd-even parking will be allowed. This means that cars may be parked on odd streets and avenues on odd numbered days and on even numbered days, cars may be parked on even numbered streets and avenues. However, all cars must be off the streets by midnight.
In downtown Ashland, between Lake Shore Drive, Main Street and Third Street between 14th Avenue West and Stuntz Avenue, no parking will be allowed between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
