Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Superior police are investigating two early morning robberies that may have been committed by the same woman.

Around 3:30am on Tuesday, June 26th, officers were dispatched to the Walgreen's Store on Tower Avenue on a report of a robbery that had just taken place.

Witnesses say that a lone woman entered the store and allegedly snatched money from the cash register before fleeing the store.

Nine minutes later, an identical call came from the Hammond Spur on Hammond Avenue in Superior. The description of the suspect in the Hammond Spur robbery matched the suspect in the Walgreen's robbery, however it is believed that this time there was an accomplice involved.

In both robberies, the suspect would pretend to make a purchase at the checkout counter and once the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect would grab the money in the till.

No weapon was used or threatened to be used in either robbery. No one was injured in either robbery.

Small amounts of cash were taken from both businesses.

Anyone with information concerning these robberies is asked to call the Superior Police Department.
