Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Michael Tahtinen has been found guilty of 1st degree manslaughter, but not guilty of 2nd degree murder.

Tahtinen was accused of killing 11-month old Connor Robison in September 2008. He was charged with second degree murder and first degree manslaughter.

Connor was in Tahtinen's care when the boy died of blunt-force trauma. Tahtinen claims the baby fell out of his playpen twice.

Tahtinen's defense attorney said that Conner, a good climber for his age, climbed and fell out of his playpen, injuring his liver and becoming unconscious.

The prosecution argued that the types of injuries Conner suffered could only have been inflicted through severe, blunt force.
