Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Two men were arrested Tuesday, for possession of a large amount of heroin and two loaded handguns, after they were arrested in last weeks heroin bust.

Narcotics investigators from the Superior Police Department received information that two suspects were in possession of a large amount of heroin and two handguns at an address in Superior.

28 year old, Leroy Leneer Calvin and 21 year old Demetrius Vershaun Bowen, were stopped in a vehicle near a residence in the 1700 block of Hughitt Avenue in Superior.

Officials say that further investigation lead to the discovery of a bag containing a large quantity of heroin, packaged for street sale, as well as two loaded handguns.

The heroin weighed almost four ounces and was worth a street value of nearly $40,000.

Both Bowen and Calvin are being held in the Douglas County Jail.

Calvin was arrested in last week's 'Operation Brownstone,' a heroin trafficking bust conducted by the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Task Force.

Calvin was formally charged with three counts of 3rd degree sale of heroin and made bail on June 8th.

Shortly after his release on bail, an informant working for the Task Force began receiving threats from Calvin.

Calvin is currently in custody in the Douglas County Jail and is awaiting formal charges of Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver and Felon in Possession of Firearms.

The incident is under investigation.

Another man busted in 'Operation Brownstone' is Bowen.

Bowen was with Calvin in the most recent arrest.

He is also being held in the Douglas County Jail awaiting extradition back to Minnesota on the violation of a probation warrant.
