Proctor, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- A 24 year old man who authorities believe has a mental disorder could be in trouble after officers allegedly caught him breaking in the windows of three cop cars.

An officer on duty noticed the man in one of the surveillance cameras. The officer went out to the parking lot to find out what the man was up to.
Officials believe that when the suspect saw the officer, he may have panicked and allegedly began throwing rocks at one Proctor Police car and two Duluth police cars. The windshields and some of the side windows were smashed in. The cars also sustained some scratches from the rocks.
Officers were able to detain the man. Chief Wobig believes the man has been taken back to his assisted living home.
