Kelsey Township, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The woman found dead inside a burning vehicle in Kelsey Township, near Hibbing, Wednesday morning has been identified.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's office identified the woman as 55-year-old Donna Marie Smith of Cotton.
Authorities found her Ford Focus on fire on the side of Arkola Road around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. They reached out to the public for help identifying the victim.
They finally made contact with Smith's family living out of a state.
The accident remains under investigation.
