Traffic Crashes are the Leading Cause of Death of Teenagers

Traffic crashes cause an average of 43 teen deaths in Minnesota each year, making them the number one cause of death among 15-17 year olds, according to the Minnesota Department of Health Center of Health Statistics. What’s more, the number is higher than causes two through five combined: Suicide-16, Cancer-13, Other Accidents-9, and Homicide-5.
