Weddings birthdays and holidays, all different events, but most with one thing in common-flowers.

One area flower shop that made its debut in the Northland nearly a decade ago is still taking pride in playing a role in its customer's special days.

Angela Stocke has loved flowers all her life. After working in a flower shop as a little girl she knew it would be her career for life.

"I knew that I loved it. I looked back at my life and thought what my favorite job was and I loved working in a flower shop," she said.

Angela's Bella Flora opened its doors ten years ago and has stayed busy providing custom designed premium flowers for an array of events.

"One particular weekend in August we have seven weddings. This is going to be a very busy weekend but we have a very talented staff and we are very organized."

Along with putting smiles on the faces of those receiving the flowers.

Angela's Bella Flora tries to give back to the community as much as possible.

"We do a lot of donations with the schools, a little bit with the hospitals, and this year we did a big piece for the symphony and a really big piece for our church."

As if the flower shop wasn't green enough Angela buys locally as much as possible to reduce her carbon footprint.

And she is currently holding a drive for people to recycle their unwanted vases.

"Any vases you bring in are worth a 50 cents credit at the shop assuming we can use them again. If we can't reuse them we will recycle them for you."

The years have flown by for Angela and each day she still looks forward to bringing joy to the lives of her clients.

"I've got a lot of really great, loyal customers who've come for ten years. The lady who came and wrote the first check here was just here the other day."
