Eveleth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- October 25th, 2002, Senator Paul Wellstone, his wife Sheila, his daughter Marcia and campaign staff Mary McEvoy, Tom Lapic, and Will McLaughlin were flying over Northern Minnesota when the unthinkable happened.

En route to a friend's funeral, their plane crashed just short of the Eveleth-Virginia airport.

There were no survivors.

Now 10 years later, the Wellstone legacy has lived on. Senator Wellstone had a passion to serve the public; a passion that is being honored and remembered today in Eveleth and across the state of Minnesota.

Join us tonight on the KBJR 6 and Range 11 News at 10 as we remember a life taken much too soon and a legacy that has changed an entire state in the decade since the devastating crash.
