$11,000 Donated to United Way from Golf Tournament

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The United Way has a big check to cash thanks to a local golf tournament.

Last week, Dan Olson, Laborer’s Local 1091 and Craig Olson, President of the Duluth Building and Construction Trades Council on behalf of the Duluth Building and Construction Trades presented 100% of their 22nd Annual Golf Tournament proceeds to United Way of Greater Duluth.

Each year this event raises money for the United Way. This year participants raised $11,394.96.

On behalf of the United Way, President Paula Reed and Community Services Director Lynette Swanberg accepted the donation.

“Generous gifts like this help meet the needs of so many people who are struggling. We appreciate that Duluth Building and Construction Trades is so community-minded with this hugely successful, annual fundraiser,” said Paula Reed, President of United Way of Greater Duluth.
