Pine County, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A 16 year old boy is awaiting charges in connection with the fatal Pine County home invasion that left one man dead.
Authorities say the juvenile is believed to be the second suspect who fled the home during the incident which left another suspect 23 year old Gypsy Wayne Watts dead.
The juvenile's name is not being released, however he is expected to be charged with several counts including First Degree Burglary.
On Thursday, police were called to a home along the Fox Road near Sandstone on reports of a home invasion. When authorities got to the scene, the homeowner told them that two men had broken into his home around 3 a-m. He said at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and confronted him.
The homeowner told authorities he grabbed a handgun of his own and shot the armed suspect, killing him. The deceased suspect has been identified as 23 year old Gypsy Wayne Watts of Pine County.
Later in the day, officers arrested a 16 year old boy in connection with the incident along with two others believed to be accomplices.
