Bayfield, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Tens of thousands of people gathered in the small town of Bayfield Wisconsin this weekend to share a love of apples.
Our Chief Meteorologist Adam Clark, and Meteorologist Adam Lorch as well as Kevin Jacobson judged Sunday's 51st Bayfield Apple Fest Parade.
Over the three day festival, more than 60 orchards and food vendors sold Bayfield's apples and deserts.
That included apple pies, apple tortes, sundaes, cider and even apple bratwurst, mustard and butter.
A hot new item this year was the wapple cone, which combines cheesecake, caramel streusel and hot apple pie filling in a fresh waffle cone.
According to Bayfield Mayor Larry MacDonald, Bayfield sees an influx of several millions of dollars over the course of AppleFest weekend.
It's a good thing for the economy and a great time to celebrate the fall.
Ojibwe Nation took first place for it's float in the parade.
Erickson Apple Orchard got first for apple orchards and judges choice.
