A prison sentence handed down this week to a California woman who was convicted of drowning her autistic 4-year-old son, according to a report from UTSanDiego.com.

The 37-year-old woman was sentenced on Monday to 15 years to life in prison for drowning her 4-year-old autistic son in a bathtub, according to the UTSanDiego.com report. The woman pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in December, according to the UTSanDiego.com report.
