Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Outdated play equipment at three parks in Superior is being torn down, to make room for new upgrades.
Renovations are being funded by the Community Development Block Grant Program.
Nearly $172,000 dollars has been allocated to Wade Bowl on 12th St. and Catlin Ave.
About $130,000 has been allocated to the 18th St. & Oakes Ave. Play area, and nearly $59,000 to Veterans Memorial Park at 7th St. & Catlin Ave.
Construction to renovate play equipment, furnishings and basketball courts is set to begin in early October and will continue as long as the weather permits.
Renovations will resume in the Spring.
