Superior, WI, (NNCNOW.com)--People in Superior are experiencing what it is like to not have a home for a night.
The seventh annual "Night Without A Home" is a sleep-out benefit to spread awareness about homelessness in the city and Douglas County.
Participants are collecting donations such as money food and clothing.
The donations will go to non-profit organizations that serve the homeless in the area.
Organizers say the event can be an eye opening experience.
"This is the most meaningful thing I have ever done in my life and once you start interacting with some of the folks who are on the street you begin to understand how difficult it must be to survive," said Tom Wondolkowski, community organizer.
People will be at City Park at the corner of Belknap and Tower Avenue until noon on Sunday.
