Marinette Hostage Situation 911 Call Released

Marinette, WI (Northland's NewsCenter/CNN) - A school principal's chilling call to 911 has been released from Monday's classroom hostage situation in Marinette, Wisconsin.

Corry Lambie is heard urging police to hurry to the high school, as two dozen students and a teacher were being held by an armed gunmen, a 15 year old student.

Here is a portion of the recording:

Operator: Emergency Center.
"Yes this is Corry Lambie calling from Marinette High School. We have a student holding an entire class hostage right now."
Operator: Ok, who's holding them...
"A student is holding an entire class hostage."
Operator: Ok, does he have any weapons?
"Yes he does."
Operator: What does he have?
"He has a pistol"

The student held classmates and a teacher hostage for about five hours. Police say the standoff ended when the student turned one of his guns on himself as officers approached.

He died of his wounds the next day.
