UPDATE: Teen Girl Dies in ATV Accident

Northland Township, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A 15-year-old girl from Canyon is dead after the ATV she was riding on flipped on a gravel road in Northland Township Wednesday.

The Sheriff's Department says the driver, 15-year-old Tyleen Weber, lost control of the machine causing it to leave the roadway and flip Wednesday afternoon.

Weber and 16-year-old Emma Dunsmore were both thrown from the machine.

Weber was flown to Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital where she later died of her injuries

Dunsmore was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries at St. Luke's hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
