Advisory Removed for Duluth Beach

June 13, 2013 Updated Jun 13, 2013 at 10:04 AM CST

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A no-water contact advisory has been lifted for a Duluth beach.

The Minnesota Department of Health lifted the advisory for Boy Scout Landing, located in New Duluth on Commonwealth Avenue.

The advisory was put into effect on Tuesday due to elevated ecoli levels from possible fecal contamination.

Water was sampled at the beach again Thursday and fecal indicator bacteria levels and averages have returned to acceptable levels.

The department of health is advising people to contact them if they do become ill after contact with the water.
