Ashland declares winter snow emergency

Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The snow emergency is effective starting at midnight tonight due to a major winter storm expected to hit the area late tonight and into Wednesday.

The National Weather Service expects the two day snowfall totals to range from 6 to 12 inches in most areas.

The declaration will stand until all city streets are cleared of snow... so parking on city streets is not allowed until the emergency is lifted.
