UPDATE: Victims identified in double homicide in Iron River

Iron River, Wisconsin (NNCNOW.com) --- Authorities have identified the victims of a double homicide in Iron River, Wisconsin.

79-year-old Jim Crain and his wife, 76-year-old Eunice "Cricket" Crain were killed Saturday night.

Authorities responded to a 9-1-1 call for help during an altercation at the Crain residence around 6:15 Saturday night.

When they arrived, they found the couple deceased.

It became clear to investigators that a struggle ensued at the home.

A third man, who is the son of the couple, was found inside the residence with non life threatening injuries.

Authorities arrested him, and say he is the sole suspect in this case.

He is currently in a Duluth hospital with non-life threatening injuries, under guard of Bayfield County Law Enforcement Officers.

Once he's discharged from the hospital, he is expected to be taken into custody.

The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation into the murders. Officers are still processing evidence obtained at the crime scene and are awaiting information from autopsies being conducted at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office in Minneapolis.
