With Valentine's Day on the horizon...Duluth businesses are feeling the heat as couples search for the perfect gift.

As one of the most popular Valentine's Day gifts, flowers top a lot of lists.

The Rose Man shop in Duluth is prepared for those last minute shoppers.

"We're going to have two check outs. We're really focusing on having more people working in the shop and trying to keep getting people in and out says Kevin Ferris owner of Rose Man."

One returning customer made a point to come early and beat the rush.

"I got a dozen roses at the Rose Man which I get every year," says Don a loyal customer.

Workers at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory are also expecting a flood of customers.

"Oh it's going to be insane. The strawberries are probably going to be our biggest seller...we sell thousands of strawberries tomorrow, we've already got at least twenty orders for dozens of strawberries" says sales associate and cook Jessica Strand.

Grandma's Saloon and Grill is altering its Thursday college night to create a more romantic dining experience.

"We're doing a four course dinner for two, where each guest will get a glass of wine an appetizer to split and then their choice of one entrée for each guest...
You can have dinner with your sweetheart and then go upstairs and have a couple drinks after that, says Chris Kemmet."

While flowers and candies always make a great option for your sweetheart, some couples are getting a little bit more creative.

"We sell a lot of couples massage packages, those are really popular this time of year...I think people like to spend time together it's relaxing and mildly intimate," says Monica Szypkowski operations manager if Elysium salon.

Whether it's flowers and candy, a dinner deal for two or saving on a couples massage, you don't have to go far to make the day extra special.
