CEO of Visit Duluth to step down

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Terry Mattson, CEO of Visit Duluth, has announced he will be stepping down from his position.

Mattson has been the head of Visit Duluth for the past 23 years.

In 1991, he created the AMSOIL Duluth National Snocross, snowmobile racing's largest and oldest snocross event that kicks off a season-long national series.

Beginning in 2008, Mattson developed a series of maritime festivals for Duluth, culminating in Tall Ships Duluth 2010, one of the most successful tall ship spectacles in the country.

Terry began his career with Grandma's Marathon, joining Visit Duluth in 1985 with the responsibility of developing major special events.

Prior to becoming President of Visit Duluth in 1990, Terry was in charge of public relations and sales.
