Grand Rapids, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- At approximately 6:36 am Monday morning, a Chevrolet Malibu driven by 31-year-old Lacy M. Carver of Grand Rapids, MN, was driving west on Pear Lake Road when the she attempted to cross the north bound lane of Highway 169 and struck a Peterbilt semi-truck, driven by 52-year-old Lyndon A. Kendall of Grand Rapids .
The motorist struck the semi from behind.
The Malibu was totaled and the semi-truck acquired severe damage.
Carner was treated and released for her injuries.
Kendall did not acquire any injuries.
The Grand Rapids Police Department and the Itasca County Sheriff Office reported to the incident.
