Cause of Fire in East Duluth Still being Investigated

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth fire officials continue to look for the cause of a fire that broke out Sunday night leaving behind 25 thousand dollars in damages to an East Duluth home.

The Duluth Fire Department responded to the blaze on the 24 hundred block of East 2nd Street around 7 Sunday night.

When crews arrived, the rear porch of the home was on fire, with flames reaching the third story of the house.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire within about an hour.

The owners were home when the fire started but the home was evacuated safely.

The Duluth Fire Marshall's Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
